GCCP Morning Market Intel — Design Options
Same daily data, eight visual languages. Pick the cockpit you want emailed/bookmarked every morning at 06:00 UTC.
How does this run day-to-day?
The Python pipeline already fires daily and emits one HTML file (latest.html). Whichever template wins here becomes the renderer the pipeline pours data into — every morning, same URL, same shape, fresh numbers. The other seven are archived.
How do you actually read it?
Live cockpit: bookmark on second monitor, glance over coffee — best for terminal / trading-floor / glass.
Email digest: the pipeline sends a summary at 06:05 UTC — needs a light-background variant (editorial / broadsheet / dossier).
Print / phone: partners on the move want broadsheet — paginates cleanly to A4.
One pick or a pair?
Probably two outputs from the same data: one dark "cockpit" view (lived in by you, on a second screen) + one light "brief" view (emailed daily, prints on A4 for partners). Pick a winner from each lane below.
Bloomberg Terminal
Computer-typing aesthetic. Dense data, mono everywhere, scrolling ticker, ASCII bars, heatmap cells. Sticky left-nav.
Investor Dossier
FT-meets-Economist editorial with drop-cap two-column lede, named volume + issue, no gold.
Modern Cockpit
Card grid, gradient mark, pulsing live indicator. Reads like an in-app surface.
Trading Floor HUD
Heavier than v1. GCCP navy + cyan/amber/lime. Quad-pane layout, monumental KPI tiles, distress log with severity bars. Function-key footer.
Editorial · Oversized
Monumental Fraunces serif headline split italic/upright/italic. Big-number Numbers strip. Drop-cap lede. Magazine spread feel.
Brutalist Swiss
Inter Tight 900 oversized. Hard-edge grid, no rounded corners. Black + cream + highlighter yellow + brick-red. Bauhaus-meets-Bloomberg.
Glass Cockpit
Frosted glass cards on radial-gradient navy. Neon-edge tiles, gradient brand mark, pulse "live" pill. Tesla-spec aesthetic.
Newspaper Broadsheet
Four-column flowed editorial. Fraunces nameplate, double-rule masthead, snap ribbon, drop caps, column rules. Paginates cleanly to A4. PDFs to die for.
01 — Bloomberg Terminal (dense, dark, monospace).
02 — Investor Dossier (FT/Economist, light).
03 — Modern Cockpit (card grid, gradient, hybrid).
04 — Trading Floor HUD (heavy terminal, GCCP navy, quad-pane). ★ RECOMMENDED if you want one dark cockpit.
05 — Editorial Oversized (monumental Fraunces, magazine).
06 — Brutalist Swiss (Inter Tight 900, oversized, highlighter yellow).
07 — Glass Cockpit (frosted, neon, Tesla-spec).
08 — Broadsheet (newspaper, four-column, prints to A4).
The day-to-day suggestion: pair one from Lane A (live cockpit, dark) with one from Lane B (email/print brief, light). The pipeline pours the same JSON into both renderers — costs nothing extra, doubles the use cases.
